I have a B&D hand-held vac that came with a slooow and short-lived charger. This charger is much superior to the original. It charges the 18v battery in about an hour.

The Firestorm drill I have had for home use has served me well, when the battery died, I got 2 batts, but wanted a 2nd charger, this unit worked without a problem, and now I have 2 batteries at the ready when the need arises.

A Welcome Tool Shed Accessory

Over the past few years I have accumulated a variety of Black & Decker 18 volt powered tools. Needless to say, the accompanied plug in chargers take their sweet time bringing the battery to full power. On average the batteries have required almost 4 hours before reaching full charge.
The Black & Decker 9.6-18V charger has been a welcome surprise. It completely recharges batteries in about 2 hours or less. This nicely weighted accessory is a time saver and a worthy investment that has more then paid for itself. I own two of these units and highly recommend this product.

This charger seems to be good. It mounts on the wall and is extremely fast charging 18-volt B&D cordless battery packs. I just hope it lasts longer than the original charger did.
