Complete your Delphi SKYFi2 XM Satellite Radio receiver listening system with this tailor-made vehicle adapter kit. The base SKYFi2 receiver package (model SA10101) contains a receiver and a remote control. To install your SKYFi in a car, you need this, the SKYFi2 vehicle adaptor kit (model SA10102), which contains a vehicle cradle, a cassette adapter, an antenna, and a 12-volt power adapter. The vehicle cradle holds your SKYFi receiver and provides connections for audio, power, and antenna cables. You should mount the antenna on the roof of your car or truck. The 12V power adapter plugs into your cigarette lighter and powers your SKYFi2 through the vehicle cradle. The cassette adapter, meanwhile, lets you listen to XM right through your car stereo's cassette deck. The SKYFi2 receiver has a built-in wireless modulator so you can tune in XM programming on your FM radio, with slightly lower sound quality than you'd get using the cassette-shell adapter. I bought this for traveling in a rural NW Washington area (Kitsap peninsula). The kit isn't very expensive and so there is good value here. Some caveats - trees and mountains do interfere with signal. It works just fine in the city of Seattle area. Also, using the cassette deck adaptor, be sure to use the control on the separate receiver module to reduce the output (it's in the XM menu) else it overpowers the cassette function very easily. I've got it on one bar, would like to go lower. Lastly, it's kind of hard to hide for antitheft purposes and the vent mount system allows it to slip a bit. But fine for occasional use like a road trip. I'd buy it again for that sort of purpose.

Great wireless XM car adaptor. No need to use cassette, since the cradle has a built in FM modulator. The quality of sound through the car stereo is awesome, and when traveling, there is no need to change channels on the radio.

Perfect Replacement for older XM kit.

For under $12 this kit allowed me to contiue to use my older XM unit. If you check around you will find that the antenna alone sells for $25+. Fantastic deal.
