No room for more bookshelves
»
We are a reading family. I am an addict for books. We have no more room for books, and we re-read so we don't discard. The Kindle solves this problem. I love it.

Awesome Kindle

What's not to like? I downloaded the manual which gave me a quick and easy way around the workings of a Kindle. The rest was easy, I downloaded the books I was interested in, and now am enjoying them. It takes time to get used to using the machine, it doesn't feel like a book in your hands, but you get over that real quick. It charges easily and holds it's charge well. I do a lot of traveling and I can now take all my reading material with me, and it's all under one pound in weight! I really have to Thank Oprah for suggesting this electronic reader. A big thanks to the Amazon for it's development! Hey if you forget your reading glasses no problem. Kindle will increase the print size for you!

Kindle/What's not to love!
»
A friend introduced me to the Kindle and I can't imagine reading a book any other way. Light weight and compact in size makes reading even the largest tomes a delight. Love the way you can change the type size -- great for when you are just "going to read one more page" before falling asleep.

I have enjoyed my Kindle very much, however, there are a couple three things I feel would improve it's user friendliness. First, the page turn bars are too easy to accidently hit. This can happen in any number of ways of which I frequently experience...and because of their positions holding the Kindle is a challenge. Second, it would be a really nice addition to put some kind of back lighting in the machine so one could read in the dark, this is a suggestion from my husband...one last thing, I haven't had my kindle long but I cannot figure out the "page number" system you have. Oh, and the holder cover you send with it does not grasp the Kindle well, mine keeps slipping off , it's a pain. The thing I LOVE the best is the dictionary, it is so great being able to get the definition of words immediately. When I purchase the next version I will be looking for these types of improvements. Thanks for the Kindle!! VJW

wish list for future versions

Just returned from a trip to New Orleans. My Kindle worked great and I enjoyed the convenience of not having to carrying my usual 4-5 books with me.
Would love to see some improvements: On/Off button on front of device; Right Next Page Button smaller and at the bottom (I need somewhere to hold the device and it is naturally on the right). How about a small handle protruding from the right side?
All in all - I love the convenience and the cost of downloading books. The installed WiFi device is shear genius and so easy to use.
Thanks for making this unit so user friendly
