Perfect for big generators

I like to keep my generator as far away from my house as possible, during outages. I knew I needed about 40 - 50 feet, but had a rough time finding a decent quality cable that could handle my generator's load for under $200.
Just as I was about to make my own cable, I stumbled across this and gave it a shot. I figured, worst case, I'm looking at return shipping to Amazon.
Well, I got lucky twice. This cable is 10 gage (not 12, as described), which was EXACTLY what I was going to make myself. That put it totally within spec for my 8,500 watt generator. And the second stroke of luck? This thing is HEAVY! Total quality here, and I couldn't be happier.
If you bought one of the Reliance Controls transfer switches, this is just what you need if you find the included 20' cable isn't quite enough.
