Have you ever noticed the 'FREE AIR' sign at a gas station? Well, air might be free - but it's not cheap! Under - OR over-inflated tires can dramatically lower your fuel economy, alter vehicle handling characteristics, shorten tire life and cause unnecessary wear-and-tear on your car or truck suspension - all expensive - but easily avoided by keeping tires at the manufacturer's recommended PSI pressure level. The easiest way to get the proper tire pressure is simply to see it as you fill the tire, and that's the beauty of this inflation gun. Instead of switching back-and-forth from air hose and pressure gauge, you eliminate guess-work and get the perfect pressure level every time. Quality steel and brass construction, ergonomic pistol-grip with easy-pull trigger, long flexible rubber hose for hard-to-reach valves and quick-connect adapter. (Recommended tire pressure can be found in your vehicle Owner's Manual or marked on the tire sidewall; some vehicles have labels on the driver's door-post.) Three-year warranty and Jack's Tool Shed worry-free Satisfaction Guarantee.

I don't know why it is so hard to find the perfect air inflator gun w/gauge. It would be far better to have a gauge that goes to no more than 60lbs. I can't for the life of me understand what I would pump above that. In fact, nearly all cars only go to 35lbs. Also the valve stem lock could be better. Having said that it works well.

Pistol Grip Air Inflator

I got this inflator so my wife could successfully inflate her tires. The clip-on attachment is better than the rigid style inflators, but still does not always seal satisfatorily against the tire's valve. The high pressure gauge does not provide accurate readings and requires the use of a separate gauge to make accurate tire pressure adjustments. Overall it is a worthwhile purchase.

Surprisingly good

I bought one of these from Harbor Freight for the same price as listed here, It looks like it has reasonable build quality and it works well. The clip-on chuck for the tire valve works VERY well and makes tire filling a snap. The gauge does not give a real time display (i.e., it does not give an accurate reading while you areadding or removing air), but other than that minor complaint, this seems a good product...at a lot lower price that the Campbell-Hausfeld version...that is probably from the same Chinese plant, anyway.
