Read all the reviews in amazon for this product. Browsed through other competitor's products and finally ordered this one. So far very satisfied with this product. Fits perfectly on my 2007 white macbook and perfectly works fine. I can realize the speed difference (with 7200 rpm and 16MB cache memory) and highly recommend this product to others. Only thing to watch out for is when my mac book gets overheated it automatically turns off. I believe its not the hard disk issue but it contributes to overheating. Overall I am happy with the performance of this product.

« PS3 replacement hard drive »

Upgraded 40 GB PS3 drive to 320 GB and faster 7200 rpm. Works nice although some games seem to freeze up more often and require system shutdown and restart. Not sure if this is drive related or not.

I bought this to replace my toshiba 360 g.b drive and Im totally satisfied, no noise problem like before, quit boot ups, cooling could be a bit better but doesnt heat significantly just minor I use a lap top fan underneath it anyway. I use this most of the day and have hardly any prob with heating. so far so good 30 days into it..

I bought this drive for increased size and better performance. I saw no increase in speed, and after 6 months, it failed, causing me to have to purchase yet another new drive, which will certainly not be another Western Digital.

love the drive. after failures by hitachi, deskstar, connor, travelstar, seagate, and other drives during repairs i make for myself, my company, and my friends, i only use western digital. of all the hard drives for laptops, this is the fastest speed drive (rpm) that they have, and its quiet. i have seen and used even the seagates with 7200 rpm and havent seen the same performance as the western digital black series. this is the largest black series for laptops.

i have 3 of these. love all of them, no issues with any of them, and ive owned 2 of them about a year, one in my gaming platform (bought a new laptop, the asus came w hitachi, like the thinkpad - which i pulled within a week, and replaced with a wd black 320. and yes, i saw a performance increase. :)

i HIGHLY recommend this drive.
