Huffy Disney Cars Boys' Bike

Product description

Since its establishment in 1892, Huffy has been known for its tradition of producing innovative and high quality bicycle products. Since that time millions of people around the globe have enjoyed the quality and value of a Huffy bicycle and Huffy has become one of America's most recognized bicycle brands.

A great choice for teaching your youngster to ride a bike, these brightly colored bikes from Huffy are inspired by the Disney character Lightning McQueen from the classic Disney/Pixar movie, Cars. It comes in a 12-inch model (recommended for ages 2 to 5) and 16-inch model (for ages 3 to 6).

Each bike is outfitted with handlebar pads for added safety and a removable backpack that attaches to the handlebar via Velcro straps. It's decorated throughout with Lightning McQueen and Cars decorations--right down to the comfortably padded seat. Training wheels offer stability while learning and can be easily removed while coaster-style brakes make stopping a breeze for new cyclists (the bike also includes front caliper brakes). Other features include an enclosed chain guard to help prevent snags and dirty pants cuffs, and hybrid slick tires for a good balance of speed and traction. Some assembly required.

The chain guard is decorated with Cars decals and protects from snags.

The Lightning McQueen backpack easily attaches to the handlebar.

    « Great starter bike »
My son is 3 years old and not all that tall (little under 37 inches). But he has no problems getting on and off this bike. He loves "Cars," so the design was a big hit. It also has a nice pouch where he can put things in before he goes off riding. The training wheels have worked well so far.

    « Don't buy »
This bike seems CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! The pedals fall of very easily. The training wheels adjust themselves causing it to become very unstable and the training wheels are a hard plastic almost causing a drag making it harder for a 3 yr old to learn how to ride a bike. I would NEVER by this again. JUST SAYING:(

« Another problem with pedal »
I bought this bike for my three year old nephew and had problems within the first week with one of the pedals. It falls off constantly!! Very frustrating, as every bike ride turns into a repair! Cute bike, but they need to fix the pedal problem, as I notice I am not the only one that has experienced this problem.

    « Front wheel won't assemble »
No matter how hard I tried, the front wheel would not assemble, I suspect it was the wrong size. Returned. Stay away from this one.

« Sturdy and fashionable bike for a young boy »
We gave our son this bike for his 4th birthday and he loves it. He wants to ride it everyday. The frame of the bike is well built. I have no doubt that it will last well beyond his younger brother's use of it. The stickers on the wheels have started to come off after only a month, but he sometimes rides along the curb (which would happen on any bike). He stores his sunglasses and gloves in the zippered bag. Would recommend to anyone with a son who loves CARS! It was also a great price with fast and free shipping. You can't go wrong with that.
